Back in Tartu, I again got to visit one of my favorite parts of the city, the small valley we sometimes called the bowl. Soccer games were fun there, since you could run up and down the walls.

Tartu has many statues and monuments. I always found this one interesting--heads wedged between large rocks. Sorry to be so uncultural about it, but I can't remember what it represented.
This is a bridge over the Emajogi (mother river). If you look closely, you can see someone running across the top of it.
I walked by this castle all the time on my way to different places. I always thought it would look nicer without a tennis court next to it.
This is probably my favorite picture of any I have ever taken. it's such a strange scene, and this view makes it look even more bizarre.
This is another Tartu bridge, this time late in the day. This is another case of my camera not being able to do the scene justice.
When the branch (church congregation) needed a new place to meet, they rented out the upper floor of a building and had it remodeled. I left the city before it was finished, but I saw the work in progress.
This is just another familiar scene in Tartu, the path that leads along the river.
